CBD Balm FAQ

Q: What can your CBD Body Balm help with?

A: Our CBD Body Balm was developed specifically for headache relief by applying to the temples, on-the-spot pain relief of muscle and joint aches, and to help alleviate any tension or stress throughout the body. Celebrated by customers for overall relaxation as well as soothing pain and tension.

Q: How do I maximize the benefits of this CBD Body Balm?

A: We recommend using our Soothe CBD Body Balm after a warm shower or bath while your pores are still open. For maximum support, please apply after soaking in our CBD Bath Salts. When applying to clean skin, make sure to deeply massage the balm so that it penetrates through the pores and activates the cannabinoid receptors located throughout the skin.

Q: How often can I use the CBD Body Balm?

A: Our CBD Body Balm can be used as frequently as needed until the desired effects are achieved. Whether that’s a few times a week or multiple times throughout the day, the gentle formula remains safe regardless of how much you apply.

Q: Is it safe to use the CBD Body Balm if I’m taking other forms of CBD?

A: Yes, topical CBD only interacts with the cannabinoid receptors found locally in the skin and sexual tissue and won’t impact any ingestible, sublingual, or intranasal CBD you are taking. CBD also remains safe in large doses across all administration methods.

Q: Can I use the Soothe CBD Body Balm if I’m undergoing drug testing?

A: Our Soothe CBD Body Balm is a full-spectrum product meaning it contains 0.3% THC. With topical application, while the minimal THC content shouldn’t be detectable in the blood, we highly recommend avoiding all CBD products if you are expecting drug testing.

Q: Is the CBD Body Balm suitable for sensitive skin?

A: Yes, our hypoallergenic formula features all clean beauty ingredients and is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Q: What are your skincare standards?

A: Press Pause is committed to the highest quality standards for all of our ingredients including our skincare formulas. Our skincare never has any formaldehyde, formaldehyde releases, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, PEGs, siloxanes, triclosan, ethanolamines, oxybenzone, toluene, talc, PFAs and PFCs, resorcinol, parabens, or artificial ingredients.

Q: Is your CBD Body Balm scented?

A: No, our CBD Body Balm is fragrance-free.

CBD FAQ

Q: Can nursing or pregnant women use topical CBD?

A: There is not enough science supporting the safety of CBD for nursing or pregnant women at this time. While such minimal amounts of topical products actually make it through the skin barrier and to the bloodstream, we highly recommend erring on the side of safety and avoiding CBD products if you are nursing or pregnant. For more information, please speak to your healthcare provider.

Q: Will CBD make me feel high?

A: No, CBD is non-intoxicating and does not cause the same euphoria as THC.

Q: Can I use topical CBD with my medication?

A: Similar to grapefruit, CBD can cause drug interactions when ingested, inhaled, or taken sublingually. While there may be certain medications that can be safely taken with CBD, it is crucial to speak to your healthcare provider before trying CBD. In terms of topical CBD, such minimal amounts actually reach the bloodstream from the skin barrier and shouldn’t cause the same drug interactions. However, we recommend erring on the side of safety and always speaking to your healthcare provider before trying topical CBD if you are taking any medication.

Q: I’ve never tried topical CBD before – is there an onboarding phase or detox effect?

A: While there can be an onboarding or detox effect for other administration methods of CBD, topical CBD will not have these effects. We always recommend spot testing any skincare products prior to use.

Q: Does topical CBD have side effects?

A: Topical CBD rarely has side effects. Some individuals may experience skin irritation due to other ingredients in the product formula. Always check the product ingredients for compatibility and spot test prior to use.

Q: What is the age requirement for using topical CBD?

A: All of our products are intended for adults 18 and older. There are currently no federal regulations regarding age requirements for CBD use but certain states may have their own regulations. We highly recommend checking your local regulations and speaking with your healthcare provider prior to trying CBD.

This pot sits on my desk at work. I’m peri-menopausal and have been suffering with frequent migraines. I use it like a tiger balm – and apply this to my temples and my neck as soon as I start to get that feeling of the headache kicking in and it definitely helps.

Where I go, your balm goes. My aching head salutes you.

My husband LOVES this balm. He sneakily puts it under his nose before bed in the winter and thinks I can’t smell it! Oh hun, I KNOW!

Great little number for tension headaches, which I get from time to time – but don’t like taking paracetamol, if I can help it. Just a dab on the temples and neck will do wonders, and means I can carry on with my day as normal.
